  1. Playing scordatura is one of the most confusing things I have ever done. I see a g, I shift to the position where my finger will produce the sound like a g, sometime it works, and an a comes out, sometimes it doesn’t and anything at all, including a full range of microtonal notes may result. In the end I got close – it is all supposed to sound a bit rough anyway!

    The harmonium I found was a small Yamaha from I think the 60’s. Somewhat beige and rather small, once we had stopped giggling at the sight of it, it blended well and made a very good contribution, ably managed by the skills of Jamie Man.
